The tubes were developed in cooperation with the Centre of Excellence in Health Promotion and Rehabilitation at Tallinn University Haapsalu College. The aim was to take advantage of the temperature-insulating property of natural wool to find a solution for more effective treatment of medicinal mud procedures both in rehabilitation institutions and later home aftercare, and to provide an alternative to an electronic device that is too expensive and also take too much space at home.

The main prerequisites for product development were keeping the temperature within the acceptable range throughout the procedure, ease of use during the procedures, easy cleaning and economical storage between procedures.
