Wool is a local renewable resource in the status of waste, the properties of which are also well suited for use as packaging material. Wool is a light, impact-resistant, volumetric, moisture-retaining, temperature-insulating, antibacterial, fireproof, reusable, recyclable and biodegradable material.
In the design of the envelopes, the easily separable wool and paper layer of the used envelopes have been considered important in order to ensure convenient sorting of the waste and to enable the collection of the wool envelopes for recycling.
