Polyethylene bubble wrap is an effective (functional, easy to produce and cheap) cushioning and packaging material, but when it enters nature as an oil-based material, it can take up to 500-1000 years to decompose. Sheep wool has been used in the creation of bubble wool, which is a local renewable resource and is excellent material for packaging. A small amount of a plant-based binder has been added to the wool, resulting in a material that is light, impact-resistant, volumetric, moisture-retaining, temperature-insulating, antibacterial, fireproof, reusable, recyclable and end-of-life composable.

The same technology makes it possible to produce bubble wool in roll, sheet and as a bulk material.
